A-25 serves Western Lanaudière. It has been part of a Montreal-Joliette link project via A-25 and A-50(actual R-158). Today, MTQ is currently planning to link both of the two A-25 sections by building a bridge over Des Prairies River. MTQ also wants to extend A-25 northward, by-passing Rawdon city to lighten
R-125 traffic, a 2-lane rural road.
